Biography of Simon-Pierre Diamond

A Law graduate aged 25, Simon Pierre Diamond hails from a new generation of Quebecers who believe strongly in political action.

First elected to the National Assembly in 2007 as the youngest ever MNA in Quebec history, Simon-Pierre Diamond was a President of the ADQ Youth Commission, and later the ADQ general manager.

While my belief in political action is intact, the ADQ had reached its limits.

My priorities have not changed, and they are precisely the same as those of the QLP: economy, family and healthcare.  The latest budget is in fact a clear illustration of the courage, audacity and sense of responsibility that drive me and brought me to politics: preparing the future instead of anticipating the next poll.

From the Quiet revolution of Jean Lesage to Jean Charest’s North Plan, from Robert Bourassa’s James Bay to today’s Romaine project, there is a thread in the QLP’s vision that unites Quebec’s history and its future.

I am proud to carry the banner for the QLP in Vachon and grateful for the trust of Premier Jean Charest.  Now, I want to earn this trust from all my fellow citizens in the riding.
