Vincent Auclair has practiced as a notary and legal advisor for the firm Auclair Chartrand, established in Sainte-Rose since 1960. He has also been a professor and lecturer for the Quebec Institute for Financial Planning. He comes from a family of three generations of notaries, all of them very involved over decades in the socio-economic development of the region (founding of the Cité de la santé Hospital in Laval, rebuilding of the Rosemère Bridge, Laval Sole Custodian Parents Foundation). Vincent Auclair has always promoted volunteering and involvement in the community, and was president of the Laval Volunteering Centre.

Mr. Auclair was born in Sainte-Rose and is married with two children. He was voted MNA for Vimont in the 2003 general election and returned in March 2007 and December 2008. He is deputy government whip.
