Stéphanie Vallée has earned an excellent reputation as a lawyer and negotiator before being elected to the National Assembly. Stéphanie Vallée has earned an excellent reputation as a lawyer and negotiator before being elected to the National Assembly. A partner with Vallée & Hubert in Maniwaki for over a decade and a mother of two, she has always been involved in the life of the community. A member of the Quebec Bar since 1995, she took on many political responsibilities as negotiator and political attaché.
She was an advisor to the Bar Council in Hull, a member of the Hull District Association of Defence Lawyers, and a parent advocate at Collège Sacré-Cœur in Maniwaki. She sat on the Board for la Maison de la Culture de la Vallée-de-la-Gatineau from 1999 to 2004, the Jean-Charles-Bonenfant Foundation since May of 2007, and the France-Quebec Office for Youth since April of 2009.
Elected MNA for Gatineau in March, 2007, she was Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Education, Leisure and Sport and Family Minister until November 5, 2008. Re-elected in Gatineau on December 8, 2008, she has since become Parliamentary assistant to the Prime Minister. She also occupies the function of Vice-chair of the Committee on Institutions.
