Born in Saint-François-de-la-Rivière-du-Sud, Norbert Morin is married and the father of four children. He is co-owner of the butcher shop, Boucherie Richard Morin inc.

Mayor of Saint-François-de-la-Rivière-du-Sud in 2002-2003 and 2007-2008, Mr. Morin was an administrator on the board of the CLCS and CHSLD of the Montmagny region. He was also on the board of the Caisse Populaire de Saint-François-de-la-Rivière-du-Sud, the CLD of Montmagny and the Office du tourisme de la Côte-du-Sud and for the Centre d’aide et de recherche d’emploi Montmagny-L’Islet. Mr. Morin also sat on the Public Security Committee for the MRC de Montmagny and on the governing board of l’École intégrée Notre-Dame-de-L’Assomption/La Francolière.

Norbert Morin was elected as Deptuy for Montmagny-L’Islet from 2003 to 2007. During that same period he was named as a parliamentary assistant to the Minister of Natural Resources, Wildlife and Parks. He was a member of three different committees; Planning and the Public Domain, Transportation and the Environment as well as Labour and the Economy.

On December 8th, Norbert Morin was re-elected as the Deputy of Montmagny-L’Islet. Since January 2009, he has acted as the Vice-Chairman of the Planning and the Public Domain Committee and he is a member of the Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Committee.
